Well I suppose it’s about time that I post about what i’ve been doing lately, and here it is… tools, tools, and cleaning more tools. In the second pic there are two hand planes, called jack planes for their versatile use. The one that is put together is what i’ve been focusing on cleaning up for a co-worker of mine, the exploded one I am keeping, but it still needs lots of work. In the third picture is the difference between the cleaned and trued sole (read: bottom) of the completed plane; and the dirty rusty sole of the plane that i’m keeping. Much sanding was involved, as evidenced by the piles of sandpaper and oily paper towels in the first pic.
